Snehal SenguptaNew Town: A market complex is being built in New Town Action Area III, opposite Sukhobrishti housing estate, to rehabilitate more than 50 hawkers. The hawkers who sell items on the pavements and the road in front of the housing complex will get stalls in the new market. Unlike other areas in the township, where hawkers mostly sell fast food, tea and cigarettes, the makeshift stalls near Sukhobrishti sell everything from grocery to meat and fish. "The market complex coming up will have separate dry and wet sections," the official said. "One section will house stalls selling fish, chicken and mutton, while another will have shops selling dry items such as fruits and vegetables.
