A handover ceremony has taken place for the leadership of the Municipality of Tajoura, east of Tripoli. The Ministry of Local Government said the transfer of duties was conducted between the former mayor, Khaled Al-Azraq, and the recently elected mayor, Abdel Fattah Al-Turki. The ceremony was attended by members of the newly elected municipal council, several municipal department directors, and a handover committee appointed by the ministry. Official documents were signed transferring powers and responsibilities to the new mayor in line with relevant laws and regulations. Al-Turki thanked the previous council for its efforts during the past period and said he would work to improve municipal services and continue development projects aimed at meeting the needs of Tajoura residents.
