Education Review Office head Iona Holsted will replace Peter Hughes, who left the role to lead the State Services Commission. Education Minister Hekia Parata announced her shock decision to retire from Parliament last month. Prime Minister John Key is yet to reveal if he will appoint someone else as Education Minister before that time.
