PUTRAJAYA: New director-general of the Road Transport Department (RTD), Datuk Shaharuddin Khalid, clocked-in for duty at 8am today at the Department's headquarters here. Upon arrival, he was greeted by RTD officers in an official ceremony in the lobby of the Transport Ministry’s building here. Shaharuddin, 57, replaces Datuk Nadzri Siron, who led the Department since June 16, last year. Speaking to reporters at a press conference earlier, Shaharuddin pledged his commitment to rebrand and improve the Department, and bring it to greater heights. Shaharuddin also said that he will forge closer ties with the police and other agencies to ensure the Department’s good governance.
