An ingenious new app which shows Australians exactly where their food and produce has come from has been launched. The Strayan app provides a fast, simple score of 'Australian-ness' for almost 250,000 everyday supermarket products. Shoppers scan the barcode of a product, which provides a 0-100 score of how 'Australian' it is. Managing Director of Strayan Alex Black said he wanted to develop an app that made it easy for consumers to 'put Aussie products at the top of their shopping list'. Strayan is available as a standard version allowing the user to view the scores of hundreds of thousands of products.
