On the other hand, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) opined for the price hike of electricity at 0.89 taka per unit. Nesco managing director Jakiul Islam placed his proposal at the public hearing of BERC on Wednesday. On February 20, the Power Development Board (PDB) sent a proposal to BERC, asking to hike the retail price of electricity by Tk. 0.72 per unitThe BERC held public hearing over the proposed price hike of electricity.
