Failing a driving test on the first attempt is more common than you would think, and the amount of times people are taking to pass their full licence test is more often than not down to them not being properly prepared. When they first pass their driving test, new drivers are going miles out of their way to avoid driving in situations they don't feel comfortable with, according to new research from the UK that shows one in three learner drivers avoid parallel parking while one in five drive out of their way to avoid tricky intersections or roundaboutsThe research, by UK driving school Young Driver which questioned 1,000 drivers, revealed that in some situations, more than a third of newly qualified motorists actively avoid having to perform manoeuvres or tackle roads they aren't comfortable with.
