A fire at a vineyard near Nelson has closed part of State Highway 60, the Appleby Highway. Emergency services were called to Waimea Estates at 6am. The highway is closed between Three Brothers Corner and McShane Rd. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use Lower Queen St, or alternative routes to Motueka and Golden Bay. Emergency services remain at the scene.
