After a serious accident, a Nelson man developed the Personal Locator Relay (PLR) Safety app to help people communicate their accurate location details during an emergency. Brabant was riding with friends at Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park last June when he came off his bike on a jump track. He doesn't remember the incident, the first thing he can recall is feeling cold from the rotor wash off the Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helicopter. Nelson Marlborough Rescue Helico Nelson man Nick Brabant was knocked unconscious during a serious accident at the Kaiteriteri Mountain Bike Park last June. He found an app developer and has spent the last year creating the PLR Safety app for smartphones and smartwatches.
