Nelson couple dig up lost treasure in their gardenBRADEN FASTIER Magda Meredith with a ring her husband found in their Nelson garden. Magda Meredith thought her husband was joking when he told her he had found a ring in their garden. Her husband Shaun Meredith found the ring earlier this month, when he finally got around to doing some garden work "after a couple weeks of nagging". The couple said they were keen to know who the ring belonged to, and how it was lost. Nelson jeweller Glen Tomlinson said he estimated the sterling silver ring was made in the early to mid-1980s.
