RICKY WILSON/STUFF The Rabbit Island fire, which started after the Pigeon Valley blaze was brought under control within hours. Meanwhile a fire which started at Rabbit Island on Wednesday afternoon was brought under control just hours later. Until the fire is declared over, Rabbit Island and Rough Island will remain closed to the public.
