Ballinger Belt winner Jim Bailey won a gold medal earlier in the week and now his son Mitchell Bailey has won a silver. Australian shooters have dominated by winning all three medals on offer at the world long range target shooting championships on Waitangi Day. Steve Negus took the gold medal from Mitchell Bailey with Duncan Davies claiming the bronze to complete the Australian trifecta in stage two at The Seddon Range at Trentham in unpredictable wind conditions. The more than 300 competitors each had 15 shots on the 900 and 1000 yard ranges to add to Tuesday's 800-yard event. The action continues over the weekend with the world teams championships being contested on Saturday and Sunday.
