KARACHI: Police on Monday revealed that a suspect arrested over his alleged involvement in the rape and murder of a minor girl within the jurisdiction of the Bin Qasim police station has confessed to the heinous crime. Last week, police took 14 people into custody on suspicion of their involvement in the brutal rape and murder of the 10-year-old girl. According to Malir SSP Farrukh Raza, the arrested suspect was residing in the building from where the body of the girl was recovered. The body of the child was recovered in the overhead water tank of a building in Marshal Yard, Railway Colony late on Thursday night. Her relatives started a search and found the body inside the water tank on the building’s third floor, where no one lived.
