Lacson told PNV Media the mass testing will be conducted after the filing of candidacies ends on October 8. Capitol consultant Alfredo Benitez said the mass testing aims to "catch those who are asymptomatic." As of October 5, Negros Occidental had 4,019 active cases and 11 deaths, records from the provincial incident management team showed.
