SEREMBAN: Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has denied claims that he is behind a scheme offering a special package to pilgrims to perform the haj or umrah in Mecca for RM5,000. Mohamad said he had never authorised any individual to organise, accept or raise funds for any purpose. "It has been brought to my attention that some irresponsible individuals are using my name to offer unsuspecting Muslims packages to perform the haj or umrah for RM5,000. He said the con job was a move to give the "teamtokmat" - which refers to his supporters - a bad name. "Anyone who has given money to these individuals should immediately report the matter to the police," he added.
