On 08 March 2015, the 1st Interim Statement and the Factual Information on the Safety Investigation for MH370 were released 6 to the public on the first anniversary of the disappearance of MH370. Aircraft debris possibly from MH370 are still being discovered around the southeastern coast of the African continent and the adjacent islands. The ATSB search report is separate and distinct from the Safety Report required under ICAO Annex 13.
