Around 288 slum dwellers living in the locality have already been allotted houses and the remaining allotments will soon be made. “We have received over 10,000 applications from families who want to move to the new houses. The houses will be constructed under the Affordable Housing in Partnership component of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Housing for All Scheme. Quality issuesHowever, several TNSCB projects have come under the radar for compromises on the quality of the houses.
