Huda, a former BNP leader, will be contesting the upcoming general elections as an independent candidate from Dhaka 17 constituency after the Election Commission allocated him the "lion" symbol. "My symbol is the lion," Nazmul Huda told reporters after receiving his symbol. And I will be the king of Gulshan; no one will be able to defeat me." Thus, Huda, who leads both Trinamool BNP and Bangladesh Nationalist Front (BNF), will now contest the polls as an independent candidate.
