Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe freed after five years imprisoned in Iran

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe has been freed from Iranian prison after five years, her lawyer has said. The British-Iranian aid worker, who was jailed after being convicted of plotting to overthrow the clerical establishment, was pardoned last year but remained under house arrest, said legal rep Hojjat Kermani. "It is hard to feel too positive when we know that Nazanin is being called back to court next weekend," she said. "My fear is that the imminent trial could be on yet more trumped up charges and see her return to prison in Iran. Mr Raab said: "We welcome the removal of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe’s ankle tag, but Iran’s continued treatment of her is intolerable.
