Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu whose ministerial rank was recently demoted by his rival, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, met party president Rahul Gandhi on Monday. After meeting Rahul Gandhi, Sidhu tweeted, "Met the Congress President, handed him my letter, appraised him of the situation!" He also posted a picture in which he seen along with Rahul Gandhi, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and senior leader Ahmed Patel. Given the crisis situation in Punjab state Congress, the Congress president finds himself in a tricky situation to sort out the power equation between Captain and Sidhu. After the ministry snub, Sidhu was also left out of eight consultative groups formed by the chief minister on Saturday to expedite implementation of the state government's schemes.
