General Mills issued a voluntary recall for four flavors of its Nature Valley Protein Chewy Bars and Nature Valley Simple Nut Bars over possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The recall is part of sunflower kernel supplier SunOpta’s ongoing national recall, Fox6Now.com reported. General Mills said it has not received any complaints of illness related to the recall, but consumers are being encouraged to throw away the products.
