Photo: VNNThe use of natural stone is to improve the city’s infrastructure by increasing the pavements’ lifespan, said a representative of the Construction Department. Some districts including Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, Thanh Xuan, and Ha Dong have paved their roads with natural stone at a price of VND500,000/sq.m (US$22.5/sq.m). Most of Ha Noi’s pavements were built with low quality brick with a shorter lifespan.
