Natomas teachers' strike ends, 5.25% salary hike agreed


Natomas Unified School District and Natomas Teacher’s Association agreed in the early hours of Thursday, March 19th on a tentative contract and agreement to end the strike. Teachers have been on strike since Tuesday, March 10th. Details of the contract have not been released; however, teachers within the union will still have to vote on the agreement before it goes into effect. The agreement includes a 5.25% salary increase over the next two years and a “pathway to fully funded family healthcare.”Classroom support, campus safety and prep time were also agreement settled. “We are pleased to share that the District has reached a tentative agreement with the Natomas Teachers Association,” district officials said.
