For only the 3rd time in our history, NZ has declared a National State of Emergency. We still have a day of damaging weather in front of us but what can be said is that life threatening events are occurring now with people on roofs and entire communities cut off. This is likely to be an enormously damaging and dangerous weather event, driven by the Cyclone’s historically low hectoPascals.
