National Geographic's 50 greatest photos are coming to NelsonSteve McCurry The iconic National Geographic cover image, Afghan Girl, taken by Steve McCurry in 1985. The 50 most iconic photos ever printed in the National Geographic are going on show at the Nelson Provincial Museum. BRADEN FASTIER Nelson Provincial Museum Experience Leader Nils Pokel with some of the pieces to be hung as part of the National Geographic 50 greatest photographs exhibition. "The National Geographic is renowned for documenting extraordinary events and bringing stories of adventure, world cultures and wild places to life through the pages of their magazine," she said. The exhibition will run from 17 March until 27 May 2018 at the Nelson Provincial Museum.
