Nasa coordinating team hits road running, elects co-chairs


The Nasa coordinating committee has hit the ground running, just a day after it was formed, to spearhead the search for the coalition's presidential candidate. The Star has established that the 12-member team drawn from ODM, Wiper, ANC and Ford Kenya, the Nasa affiliate parties, met on Thursday evening. The committee is also expected to develop terms of reference for the technical and strategic team, and the criteria for selection of the membership. On Tuesday, Nasa leaders Raila Odinga ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetang'ula (Ford Kenya) unveiled the team that will also a running mate for the presidential candidate. Others appointed to the team are Senators Bonnie Khalwale (Kakamega, Ford Kenya) and Agnes Zani (nominated, ODM), and MPs Chris Wamalwa (Kiminini, Ford Kenya) and Timothy Bosire (Kitutu Masaba, ODM).
