The income tax department will hold sessions on investigation into undisclosed assets, exchange of information, dispute resolution and paperless assessments. The conference will be attended by senior officers of CBDT and CBEC. The conference will discuss the challenges facing the tax departments and ways to make the tax regime competitive. “The conference provides a platform to assess the performance of the year gone by and to deliberate on emerging issues without any hierarchical barriers,” the tax department said. The indirect tax department will look at trade facilitation and dispute management.
