Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said to date the government has constructed 83,750 units of affordable homes under the People’s Housing Programme (PPR). Najib cited the example of PPR Sri Aman in Jinjang, here, which is being sold at RM35,000, even though its actual cost was at RM150,000. The PPR Sri Aman project, will comprise 1,600 units, with a floor space of 700 square metres. A total of 2,010 house units will be built under the scheme and is expected to be completed by 2020. He said scheme will be implemented in Kepong with 1,244 house units and in Batu with 766 units.
