A motorist was discovered to be ferrying bhang after he was involved in an accident on the Nairobi-Nakuru highway on Saturday morning. Naivasha subcounty police commander Samuel Waweru said the motorist attempted to overtake a fleet of vehicles when the accident occurred. Waweru said the driver was rushed to Naivasha Hospital where he is undergoing treatment under police watch. Waweru said the bhang is estimated to be worth Sh1.5 million. Acting on a tipoff, the officers struck the suspect’s Kayole home in the outskirts of Naivasha, but he escaped.
