more-inEmphasising the importance of solid waste management, Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Monday urged Delhiites to segregate garbage to prevent environmental degradation. Speaking at the launch of a municipal solid waste segregation programme on the occasion of World Environment Day at Talkatora Stadium here, Mr. Naidu said: “The two most pertinent issues plaguing the world right now are terrorism and climate change. He also released a comic book about segregation of waste at source meant for school students. You cannot be healthy until and unless you adopt green practices. Representatives of the RWAs and hotels that have adopted green practices were felicitated at the event.
