Colourful display: The park is home to over 60 species of butterflies. more-inWith over 60 different species recorded so far, a butterfly park spread over three acres at the Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary in south Delhi was dedicated to the public by the Delhi government on Monday to mark World Environment Day. Delhi Development Minister Gopal Rai, Environment Minister Imran Hussain and students attended the event. Referring to the theme of this year’s World Environment Day: ‘Connecting People to Nature’, Mr. Hussain said that children and their parents should be involved in planting trees. A book titled ‘Butterflies of Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary - A Field Guide’, which was compiled by the Conservation Education Centre and the Forest Department, was also released on the occasion.
