As part of Nagad's 'Swadhin Merchant' program for SMEs, a merchant will be able to make business transaction to another merchant paying only Tk6 at per Tk1,000Bangladesh Post Office’s mobile financing service Nagad on Thursday cut down transaction charge to Tk6 for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). As part of the initiative, Nagad has introduced “Swadhin Merchant” for small and medium businessmen. A Swadhin Merchant will be able to make business transaction to other Swadhin Merchant paying only Tk6 at per Tk1,000. Besides, Nagad said it has slashed advertisement budget to decrease transaction cost. In addition, Nagad employees are distributing food and essential goods among destitute people in as many as 492 upazilas of the country.
