The world warned President Trump not to unilaterally withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal. AP Revolutionary Guard General Qasem Soleimani was killed by a US airstrike in Iraq, turning him into a martyr. It should have been obvious that killing Soleimani would turn him into a martyr. Whatever the cost of Soleimani's killing turns out to be, it should not be paid by New Zealand troops stationed in Iraq.
