NZ dollar falls to three-week low

The kiwi traded at 69.72 US cents at 5pm in Wellington, having touched a three-week low of 69.65 cents overnight, from 69.87 cents late yesterday. Tvedt said there is support for the New Zealand dollar if it falls as low as 69 US cents. QV said the slowdown in the pace of house price inflation in the first three months of this year may reflect lending restrictions imposed by the Reserve Bank last year. The local currency traded at 92.07 Australian cents from 92.13 cents yesterday. It declined to 65.27 euro cents from 65.45 cents and was little changed at 55.98 British pence from 56.01 pence.
