NZ Post halts firearms deliveries following Christchurch mosque shootings


NZ Post has stopped the delivery of firearms while it reviews its policy on the matter in the wake of the Christchurch terror attacks. An NZ Post spokeswoman said the company had made the decision to "remove exemptions given to a small number of licensed gun shops that allow firearms to be delivered through NZ Post". Imogen Neale Earlier this week, a woman was shocked at seeing a courier van filled with gun orders in Auckland. On Wednesday, a business owner in Auckland was left shocked at the sight of boxes and boxes of firearms left unaccompanied in the back of a courier van. Fastway Couriers NZ chief executive Scott Jenyns said the company was reviewing its firearms policy and would confirm changes following direction from Government.
