The High Court has declined to stop the DPP from charging 11 suspects with money laundering over the Sh791 million NYS scandal. Onguto noted the accused have been charged with theft, which he said is related to money laundering. Onguto further said the trial court is the right forum for the suspects to argue their case. He said the High Court is not the one to determine the suspects' innocence. They had asked justice Joseph Onguto to stop their prosecution saying it has not been proven that they laundered the money.
