SEX CRIME CHARGES"This indictment brings the defendant another step closer to accountability for the crimes of violence with which he is now charged," Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance said Wednesday. Weinstein intends to plead not guilty and "strongly denies" the "unsupported allegations," his defence lawyer Ben Brafman confirmed Wednesday. His lawyer says the rape allegation involves a woman with whom Weinstein "shared a 10-year consensual sexual relationship that continued for years" after the alleged 2013 incident. We are confident that when the jury hears the evidence, it will reject these attacks out of hand," hit back Vance.
