Televangelist ‘Gakuyo’ arrested, charged with fraudTelevangelist David Kariuki Ngare, popularly known as Gakuyo, has been arrested. Gakuyo was arrested on Sunday by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI). “He is being interrogated at the DCI headquarters,” an officer privy to the investigations and who spoke on condition of anonymity told Nation. Gakuyo is facing at least 10 cases of fraud and there are another 11 files linked to him at the ODPP office. Gakuyo was a wanted man in several cases linked to defrauding members of Ekeza Sacco of over Sh1 billion.
