President Ruto heads to China for a 3-day forumPresident William Ruto is expected to depart to China for a 3-day Belt and Road Initiative forum. The President will hold bilateral talks with Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping and other world leaders to discuss matters of mutual benefit and cooperation. In a statement on Saturday, Statehouse Spokesperson Hussein Mohammed said ERuto will deliver a keynote address headlined “Digital Economy as a New Source of Growth,” at the High-Level Forum, highlighting Kenya’s advancements in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and innovation. “Kenya is a key participant in the BRI, with notable signature projects such as theStandard Gauge Railway (SGR),” Hussein said. Additionally, the President will participate in a Kenya-China investors roundtable toemphasize Kenya’s standing as an investment hub for Chinese companies, aiming toforge mutually beneficial partnerships for both nations and their peoples.
