David Ndii: Ruto’s economic adviser now master of comebacksThe Chairman of the Presidential Council of Economic Advisors David Ndii has gone from being a man who helps President William Ruto woo voters by debunking the bottom-up economic model to a man mired in controversy and a string of unspeakable tweets. In his tweets, Ndii mostly blames former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration for leaving the country in misery and huge debt. In a reply to Jubilee Party official and blogger Pauline Njoroge, who compared fuel pump prices under Uhuru and Ruto, Ndii’s tweet remains unprintable and comes across as insulting and demeaning to Pauline. According to Third Way Alliance party leader Dr Ekuru Aukot, Ndii’s uses the offensive tweets as a defence mechanism when he is unable to provide answers. Ndii has since declined an interview request to shed light on the matter.
