KUALA LUMPUR: A New Straits Times journalist was injured when a police patrol car in hot pursuit of another car accidently rammed into his motorcycle. The accident happened near the Sunway toll plaza at the New Pantai Expressway about 3pm. Fernando Fong Kee Soon had just exited the motorcycle lane when the patrol car hit him. He is currently receiving treatment at the yellow zone (semi critical unit) of the University Malaya Medical Centre. He said the patrol car was assisting another patrol car pursuing a vehicle when the accident happened.
