The church service, which was held at Kodie in the Afigya Kwabre South District in the Ashanti Region, was also used to pray for peace to prevail as the various political parties prepare to begin their electioneering towards the 2020 primaries and general election. Special prayers were also said for the Electoral Commission, National Peace Council, security services and all other stakeholders so they could contribute meaningfully towards the organisation of a peaceful election. The church service, which was on the theme “Our Lord will hear our voice and supplications”, brought together more than 700 supporters, constituency and polling station executives among other sympathisers. Augustine Mensah lauded the leadership of the party for seeking the face of God as they prepared to start their election campaign and also praying for a peaceful election for the nation.
