Beijing has now suspended the licences of two Canadian exporters who were planning on shipping their canola seed to China. China claims it’s suspending Canadian imports on health and safety grounds, while also encouraging us to work toward improving the overall relationship. Canada should instead work to find new export markets for our products, and not limit the effort to canola.
