Confirmation arrived Friday via a prepared statement from Tim Reid, president and CEO of Regina Exhibition Association Ltd.“As with many events and consistent with best practices in scheduling, there was a conditional hold on Mosaic Stadium for an NFL pre-season game,” Reid said. As such, there will not be an NFL event at Mosaic Stadium at this time.”Initial negotiations revolved around holding a game between the Oakland Raiders and Green Bay Packers on Aug. 23. The focus then turned to holding the game on Aug. 22, which would have allowed for more transition time between the NFL and CFL events. “We all wanted to have an NFL exhibition game here.
