NLEX Corp. said it would implement its “Safe Trip Mo Sagot Ko” where they would enhance traffic management and toll collection services during the holidays. The company noted its traffic personnel have been on heightened alert since Friday to support travelers using NLEX and SCTEX. The Metro Pacific-led firm also opened more toll collection points, particularly during peak hours, and would deploy “portabooths” and portable toll collection handheld units to lessen the motorists’ waiting time at the toll plazas. On a regular day, NLEX receives 260,000 vehicles; Cavitex services, 160,000 motorists; and SCTEX, 60,000 vehicles.
