President Kenyatta named Eastern Regional Commissioner Wycliffe Ogallo as the Commissioner General for Prisons, Brig Vincent Naisho Loonena as the Director General of Kenya Coast Guard Service and Brig John Migui Waweru Director General of Kenya Wildlife Service. In the meantime, the new National Police Service Commission is set for swearing in ceremony after which they will name an acting IG. The acting IG is likely to be either APS’ Noor Gabow or Kenya Police DIG Njoroge Mbugua. The position is key in security of the country because as the IG one runs the National Police Service as the Chief Executive Officer. He is in charge of the 100,000 personnel in KPS, APS, Directorate of Criminal Investigations and General Service Unit.
