The National Human Rights Commission has summoned the Sonipat District Magistrate on May 30 over not supplying documents to it in regard to a rights’ violation complaint against a property developer by residents. In the order on March 28, NHRC chairperson Justice (retd.) Dattu had said the information/documents sought by the Commission had not been received. The concerned authorities be summoned to appear in person on 30.05.2019 to produce the required information/documents (sic),” the order stated. “Today, after more than 7 years, not even a single basic amenity of the residents is accomplished,” the 2018 complaint stated.
