NHRC suggests the government distribute relief door to door to make sure people do not gather in the streets to get relief rationsThe National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) of Bangladesh has urged the government to monitor irregularities in relief distribution amid the coronavirus outbreak in the country. In the press release,the NHRC praised the government, various organisations, and the people in general, for their efforts to help the destitute during this crisis. However, they pointed out the lack of coordination in relief distribution reported by the media. People are increasing the chance of spreading coronavirus among themselves by not maintaining social distancing during the relief distribution, according to the press release. So, the NHRC has suggested the government distribute relief rations door to door to make sure people do not gather in the streets for the relief.
