In a press release, the companies stated the deal would be for "non-simulation football game experiences," signaling that Electronic Arts' Madden franchise will remain the league's exclusive main football title. "Non-simulation football games" may, however, signal more arcade-y games in the vein of the NFL Blitz series, which was an over-the-top take on the sport developed by Midway before being scooped up by EA. That's reportedly how much the exclusivity deal between 2K and the NBA is worth, according to the Wall Street Journal. Prior to this year's Super Bowl, 16 NFL players and 16 Twitch streams faced one another in a Fortnite tournament with a prize of $500,000 for charity. Amazon's streaming platform also has a deal in place for Thursday Night Football games, with popular gamers like "Timothy "TimTheTatman" Betar streaming and commentating the matches.
