For the first time this year, the Alberta NDP has raised more money than the Wildrose Party. During the most recent quarter, from July 1 and Sept. 30, 2016, the NDP received $425,438 in donations, according to financial disclosure reports posted on the Elections Alberta website. The Wildrose raised $330,666 during the same period. However, the Wildrose has regularly surpassed the NDP in donations since the third quarter last year. The latest quarter covers the first three months of Jason Kenney's campaign to become leader of the Progressive Conservative Party.
